- Shelley has been a dietitian/nutritionist for more than 12 years. She has worked in Australia and the United Kingdom in large and small hospitals, community centres, and Queensland government departments. She is also a guest lecturer in nutrition to second year pharmacy students at The University of Queensland.
- She recently completed her Honours in Psychology and is currently completing her PhD in the School of Psychology, The University of Queensland. Her PhD is part of a community-based healthy-pregnancy behaviour change intervention for Caboolture Shire. The focus of her research is how best to support women achieving better nutrition, physical activity, and smoking cessation during pregnancy.
- Shelley’s research reflects her particular interest in dietetics- supporting people in achieving healthy lifestyles, particularly through better nutrition and behaviour change. Through Mater Health and Wellness, she sees patients for nutritional counseling pre and post lap banding procedure as well as providing nutritional advice and guidance for pregnant and breastfeeding women.

- Martine joins Mater Health Services and Health and Wellness Clinic with more than seven years of clinical experiece as a dietitian. In addition to providing services to Mater Health and Wellness, Martine is the senior dietitian for adult services and provides nutrition advice and counselling to patients with gastrointestinal difficulties, pre and post lap banding procedures and nutrition advice to women during pregnancy and breastfeeding. She has particular interest and experience providing advice for weight management including counselling pre and post lap banding and works closely with surgeons to ensure that patients have optimal outcomes and experience from their procedure.

- Melissa has worked across all areas of nutrition and dietetics in both the acute care clinical setting as well as within community environments. She has worked as a paediatric dietitian at a number of hospitals in Queensland (Mater Health Services, Ipswich Hospital, Nambour General Hospital) since graduating 11 years ago and is currently in the paediatric dietetic team at Mater Children's and Mater Children's Private Hospitals. She has a particular interest in general paediatric nutrition including failure to thrive, feeding difficulties and paediatric weight management and enjoys the rewards of working with parents and children.

- Catherine has a broad range of clinical experience gained during years as a clinical dietitian, specifically providing nutrition counselling to patients undergoing cancer treatments, as well as providing nutrition advice to patients pre and post surgery. In addition to Mater Health and Wellness clients, Catherine also provides nutrition education and counselling to patients at Mater Private Hospital Brisbane and Mater Adult Hospital. She has a keen interest and significant experience in managing nutritional requirements in cancer patients, particularly throughout different treatment stages and including pre-treatment assessments and advice.

- Annabel has eight years of clinical dietetic experience having graduated from Queensland University of Technology in 2000. She has worked in hospitals in both Queensland and Victoria and has also practiced in the United Kingdom. For the past four years Annabel has specialised in the field of paediatrics with a particular interest in the areas of failure to thrive, feeding difficulties and artificial nutrition support. She joined Mater Health Services’ dietetic team in 2006 and currently works in the fields of feeding therapies, cystic fibrosis and paediatric intensive care.

- As well as working at Mater Health and Wellness, Linda also provides paediatric dietetic services for Mater Children’s Hospital and Mater Children’s Private Hospital. Linda has experience working in both public and private hospitals, nursing homes and private clinics around Brisbane. Her particluar areas of interest include working with children with acquired brain injuries and associated feeding difficulties, failure to thrive and weight management issues.

- Denise graduated from The University of Newcastle in 1996. For the past nine years she has specialised in areas of paediatric nutrition. She has worked in several hospitals throughout Queensland including the Bundaberg Base Hospital, Rockhampton Base Hospital, Gold Coast Hospital and the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital before commencing at Mater in February 2003. Her positions within Mater Children's Hospital have seen her work in a variety of clinical areas including infant nutrition, nutrition post-surgery, nutrition in renal disease, and nutrition during cancer treatments. She currently has a special interest in nutritional support of the critically ill child, the nutritional management of children with cystic fibrosis and the nutritional management of children with eating disorders.

- Jemma has a range of experience within paediatric dietetics gained from working in several hospitals within Queensland and also practicing in the United Kingdom. Jemma also provides dietetic care to patients at Mater Children’s Hospital within the paediatric intensive care unit and surgical unit and also provides nutritional support for children and adolescents with eating disorders.
- Her particular areas of interest are nutritional management of children and adolescents with eating disorders, treatment of infants and children with faltering growth and feeding difficulties.

- Karen graduated from Newcastle University and has 10 years of dietetic work experience, which includes six years in London and the United Kingdom. She received specialist paediatric training in the United Kingdom, completing the Postgraduate Advanced Course Modules in Paediatric Dietetics, through the British Dietetic Association. Karen also completed the BDA Advanced Course in Neonatal Nutrition. She is a guest lecturer in paediatric nutrition for postgraduate Griffith University students. Karen has experience within a broad range of paediatric specialist areas and a keen interest in gastroenterology and neonatology. She is currently working at Mater Children’s Hospital and Mater Mothers’ Hospital’ Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Karen also works at Mater Health and Wellness Clinic where she regularly sees children with faltering growth and feeding problems. She acts as a paediatric dietitian mentor, assisting other dietitians throughout Queensland.
