Helen Beech (B. Phty)

Helen has been working at the Mater Health Services over the past 15 years in the area of Women's Health, developing expertise and special skills in caring for Obstetric and Gynaecology patients as well as learning and incorporating up-to-date Adult Education learning principles.
Having experienced first-hand some of the challenges of osteoporosis, she has developed a real passion for helping patients to develop their own prevention and management strategies in dealing with this disease.
For the past five years Helen has been conducting “Osteoporosis & Self-Management Courses” and developed a weekly exercise program focussing on strength, posture and balance.
Helen is excited to finally be able to work one-to-one in assisting patients to develop, stay focussed on and finally achieve their goals.

Linda has many years experience in treating women within the child-bearing “year” as well as those with pelvic floor dysfunction. While working with CEA (Childbirth Education Association of Australia) when her own children were young, she developed a strong commitment to working with women to assist with their physical wellbeing throughout all facets of their lives.
Kristen Ruhmann (B. Phty)

Kristen has 10 years experience in Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy both in Australia and overseas. After becoming a mother, she developed a special interest in Women's Health and joined the team at the Mater Mothers' Hospital. Here, Kristen has expanded her skills to include the care of antenatal and postnatal women and the provision of exercise and education programs.
Kristen aims to improve patients understanding of the physical changes associated with pregnancy in order to facilitate improved awareness, prevention and self-management strategies. In doing so, Kristen thoroughly enjoys her role of assisting patients to adjust and function optimally during this exciting time.

Kate graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor Degree in Physiotherapy and quickly developed a special interest in women's health whilst working in Tasmania. She has since completed her post graduate certificate in Continence and Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation through the University of Melbourne.
Kate also has a passion for Pilates with over 4 years of experience in taking Pilates classes. She enjoys working closely with her clients to help them develop good "core strength", improved posture, balance, flexibility and over-all strength.
Leisa Reynolds B.Phty

Leisa has 10 years experience in musculoskeletal and sports Physiotherapy, working both in Australia and the United Kingdom. She developed a particular interest in women's health whilst working in private practice in Sydney specialising in women's health, and has instructed in ante-natal and post natal exercise classes at the Royal Hospital for Women in Sydney for the past 5 years.
Leisa comes to the Mater Health and Wellness Clinic with a passion for applying her skills in core stability rehabilitation to women’s health as well as assisting antenatal and postnatal women achieve optimal outcomes through their pregnancy.
Lizelle Miller B.Sc. Phty

Lizelle has extensive experience in the area of Physiotherapy in Women’s Health developed over the past 10 years working in both Australia and the United Kingdom. Her area of expertise is in the subspecialty of pelvic floor dysfunction.
Lizelle joins the Women’s Health Physiotherapy team at the Mater with a commitment to ensuring that her clients achieve their maximum potential and goals through guided and specific muscle rehabilitation programmes. Through her holistic approach to bladder, bowel and sexual dysfunction, she facilitates regaining of function and optimum outcomes.
May Cheung (B. Phty, M. Phty. St. (Manips))

May’s clinical area of special interest is in Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy. Since graduating from the University of Queensland, St Lucia in 1996 with a Bachelor Degree in Physiotherapy, May has worked more than 10 years in private practices. In 2001, she graduated with Master of Physiotherapy (Manipulative). May aims to not only treat the presenting injury but also to aid patients in injury prevention. She speaks three languages: English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Susannah has a broad range of experience including having worked in the area of Women’s Health for over five years. She has a particular interest in assessing and treating women, men and children with incontinence and pelvic floor dysfunction, including post radical prostatectomy, nocturnal enuresis (childhood bedwetting), day time wetting, childhood constipation, pelvic organ prolapse and post natal bladder and bowel control problems.
Ellen Jang (B. Phty, Master of Manipulative Physiotherapy)

Ellen graduated from the University of Qld, St Lucia in 1997 with a Bachelor Degree in Physiotherapy, and graduated from the University of Queensland with a Master of Manipulative Physiotherapy.
Her clinical area of special interest is in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.
She is able to speak in Cantonese and Mandarin.
Stephen Erceg (M.Phty. St. (Manips), B.Phty, B.HMS)

Steve has many years experience in managing a broad range of musculoskeletal presentations in patients ranging from teenagers to the elderly. During this time, he has developed a strong interest in managing spinal conditions and aims to not only treat the presenting injury but to also help patients prevent injury. He has worked in both the public and private systems within Australia, and in the private system overseas. Steve has also been a clinical educator for several years, teaching undergraduate and post-graduate students, and is currently involved with a spinal research project.
